What is Kabbalah?

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, reality consists of two forces, or qualities: the desire to receive and the desire to bestow, also known as the Creator. The wisdom of Kabbalah is a scientific tool for studying these two forces that are the foundation of everything around us.

We explore our world using natural sciences such as physics, chemistry, and biology. But natural sciences study only the physical world which we perceive with our five senses. To truly understand the world we live in, we need a research tool that can help us explore the hidden realm that our ordinary senses cannot perceive: the world controlled by these two forces of desire. This tool is the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Why now?

For many centuries, Kabbalah was a “banned” topic, taught only to a select few. Kabbalists even went to great lengths to create stories that discouraged people from investigating the teachings. Why is Kabbalah now being openly taught and studied everywhere today?

As Kabbalists Rav Yehuda Ashlag, the Vilna Gaon (AGRA), and many other prominent Kabbalists foresaw, the end of the 20th century marked a fundamental change in the history of mankind. For the first time, humanity is being confronted with the global nature of this world through aspects such as the Internet, the economy, and environmental challenges, to name just a few. This was precisely the time the Kabbalists were waiting for, since Kabbalah provides the tools to operate in this new, globally connected world.

The ban has now been lifted and Kabbalah is open to all. Humanity in the twenty-first century has become ready to see Kabbalah for what it really is—a scientific, time-tested, empirical method of achieving an entirely new way of relating to both the seen and unseen worlds.

How will it affect my life?

Studying Kabbalah is a fascinating journey. It changes our perspective on the world and the people around us, and reveals aspects within ourselves that we never knew existed. It is a journey of discoveries affecting all of life’s levels: our relationships with our family, friends, and co-workers. Kabbalah states very simply that when we know how to connect to the Creator directly, without any go-betweens, we will find our inner compass. This is the goal of Kabbalah—to help us make, and sustain direct contact with the Creator. When we do, we will need no further guidance.

Welcome to the wisdom of Kabbalah!
